IndiaFont V3 is a calligraphy font design software that enables you to create unique and creative typography with various letter variable combinations. In this article, we’ll guide you through how to use IndiaFont V3 trial version.
Download and Install IndiaFont V3:
To use the trial version, you need to download and install IndiaFont V3 on your computer. Once you have installed it, you can open the software by clicking on the Desktop shortcut or locating it from the system installed location.
Load Fonts:
When you launch IndiaFont V3, you will see a size selection box for your design right after the cool splash screen. Please wait for all fonts to get loaded. You can check if the fonts are loaded by looking at the font selection field, which will show “Loading Fonts…” at the start. Once it’s done, you will see the first font name starting with “AMS”.
Create Your Canvas:
Now you can create your canvas or file with the desired size. You also can choose one from given presets. You also can change the canvas size letter if you need, just go to File Menu> Update Canvas Size.
Typing with IndiaFont V3:
Click on the “T” icon and then click anywhere on the canvas to add your first text box. You can start typing as IndiaFont keyboard.
Use Magnetic Selection Tool:
Once you’ve finished typing, press “Esc” and click on the “Magnetic Selection tool”. The first letter will now be selected, and all available letter variables will show up in the Letter Variable Panel at the bottom. You can click on any of the variables listed in the panel to see how it looks with your text until you find the best fit. Once you’re done with the first letter, click on the “NEXT” icon to select the next letter, and variables for it will reflect in the Letter Variable Panel.
Explore Different Fonts:
IndiaFont V3 offers various fonts, and you can explore them to find the best fit for your design. Whenever you change the font, create a new text box. Changing fonts with existing font will not work well as we have changed some variables that may or may not be available for different fonts.
Use Alom-Wiloms:
To use the Alom-Wilom concept, go into the text editing mode by double-clicking on the text you typed. Then, take the blinking cursor to the very start and press “Shift+<” or click on the “ALOM” icon on the left tool bar of the software. For WILOM, take the cursor at the very end and press “Shift+>” or click on the “WILOM” icon on the left tool bar. Alom-Wilom also has variables just like any other letters. Please don’t miss exploring different variable designs and combinations of Alom & Wilom, which create extraordinary typography. Different fonts have different styles of Alom-Wilom, so you must check them.
Use Kana Variables:
IndiaFont V3 has over 50 Kana variables that are quite easy to use. Just select any Kana from the word you typed and press any of the keys: “[“, “{“, “]”, “}”, or use the left tool bar different Kana options for the same. You will see that the first design of Kana has now changed, and you also have variables for it just like other letters. Using different keys mentioned will give you a different design. Please explore.
Exporting Your Design:
Once you’re done with the design, you can export it to different formats to use with other design software like Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, CorelDraw, and many more. The options for Raster are JPG and PNG, and for the Vector, you can export to SVG or PDF.
Save File:
Once you have completed your design, you can save it for later use. To save your design, click on the “Save” button located in the top left corner of the software. This will save your design in IndiaFont V3’s proprietary format (.if). You can later open this file in IndiaFont V3 and continue working on your design.

IndiaFont V3 also provides some additional features to enhance your design, such as adding borders, shadows, gradients, and other effects. You can access these features by clicking on the “Effects” button located in the left toolbar of the software.
