IndiaFont V3 is an innovative software that allows users to create stunning typography designs. One of its unique features is the use of letter variables, which enables users to experiment with various design possibilities. In this article, we will guide you on how to use letter variables in IndiaFont V3.
Adding Text
To start, click on the “T” icon located on the left toolbar and then click anywhere on the canvas to add your first text box. Once done, start typing as per the IndiaFont keyboard.
Magnetic Selection Tool
After typing the text, press “Esc” and then click on the “Magnetic Selection tool.” You will see that the first letter is now selected, and all the available letter variables are showing in the Letter Variable Panel located at the bottom of the software.
Choosing Letter Variables
Click on any of the variables listed in the panel to see how it looks with your text. Keep experimenting with different variables until you find the best fit.
Next Letter Selection
After you have completed the first letter, click on the “NEXT” icon, which is located next to the “Magnetic Selection tool.” You will see that the next letter is now selected, and the variables for it are now reflecting in the letter variable panel. Repeat the process until you are done with all the letters.
Font Selection
You can choose from the bunch of available fonts, but ensure that each time you change the font, create a new text box. Changing the font with an existing font may not work well as we have changed some variables that may or may not be available for different fonts.
Alom-Wilom Concept
To use the Alom-Wilom concept, go into the text editing mode by double-clicking on the text you typed. Then take the blinking cursor to the very start and press “Shift+<” or click on the “ALOM” icon, which is located on the left toolbar of the software. For WILOM, take the cursor to the very end and press “Shift+>” or click on the “WILOM” icon located on the left toolbar of the software.
Variables for Alom-Wilom
Just like any other letters, you have variables for Alom-Wilom too. Don’t miss exploring different variable designs and combinations of Alom-Wilom, which creates extraordinary typography. Different fonts have different styles of Alom-Wilom, so make sure to check it out.
Kana Variable
IndiaFont V3 also provides 50+ Kana variable options, which are easy to explore. Select any KANA from the word you typed and press any of the keys: “[“, “{“, “]”, “}”, or use the left toolbar for different KANA options. You will see that the first design of KANA is now changed, and you also have variables for it just like other letters. Using different keys mentioned will give you different designs.
