Install IndiaFont V6 on a Mac

Five short steps. It takes about two minutes.

   Check your macOS version

   One download works on every Mac, with an Apple chip (M1, M2, M3, M4) or an Intel processor. Click the Apple menu at the top left of the screen and choose About This Mac: IndiaFont V6 needs macOS 13 Ventura or newer.

   Download and open the DMG

   Download the file for your Mac from the download page. When it has finished, open your Downloads folder and double-click IndiaFont-V6-….dmg. A window opens with the IndiaFont V6 icon and your Applications folder.

   Drag IndiaFont V6 into Applications

   Drag the IndiaFont V6 icon onto the Applications folder in that window and wait for the copy to finish. Then eject the IndiaFont disk in Finder's sidebar; you can delete the DMG file afterwards.

   Open it the first time (once only)

   Open IndiaFont V6 from Applications. Because the app is not yet signed by Apple, macOS shows a message that it cannot check it or could not verify it. Click Done (not “Move to Bin”). Then open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to Security, and click Open Anyway next to “IndiaFont V6 was blocked”. Enter your Mac password and click Open. From now on it opens normally.

   Sign in and start designing

   Create a free account, or sign in with the email of your IndiaFont V1–V5 licence. The library downloads in the background while you work. For the Adobe plugin, go to My account → Plugins and click Install.
