Magnetic Selection Tool

Selecting individual letters in Devanagari script can be challenging due to overlapping characters. The Magnetic Selection Tool solves this problem.

The Problem

In Devanagari, letters with:

• •Ukar
• •E Matra
• •Conjuncts

...often overlap visually, making it hard to click and select a specific letter.

The Solution

Magnetic Selection provides sequential letter selection:

1. 1.Click the tool to select the first letter
2. 2.Use Next button to move forward
3. 3.Use Previous button to go back
4. 4.The selected letter is highlighted
5. 5.Access its variables in the panel below

How to Use

Activating the Tool

1. 1.Select a text box on the canvas
2. 2.Click the Magnetic Selection Tool in the toolbar
3. 3.Or press the keyboard shortcut

Navigating Letters

• •Next - Select next letter
• •Previous - Select previous letter
• •First - Jump to first letter
• •Last - Jump to last letter

Applying Variables

Once a letter is selected:

1. 1.View available variables in the bottom panel
2. 2.Click any variable to apply it
3. 3.Move to next letter and repeat
