Create Your First Calligraphy

Let's create a beautiful Hindi calligraphy design in just 5 minutes! You can also try our online calligraphy generator for quick results.

Step 1: Open IndiaFont

Launch IndiaFont and create a new project:

  • Click File > New or press Ctrl+N
  • Choose canvas size (1920x1080 recommended for social media)

Step 2: Add Text

  1. 1.Click the Text Tool (T) from the toolbar
  2. 2.Click on the canvas where you want to add text
  3. 3.Type your text in Hindi (e.g., "शुभ विवाह")

Tip: Use the Unicode Converter if you want to type in English and convert to Hindi.

Step 3: Choose a Font

  1. 1.With text selected, open the Font Panel (right side)
  2. 2.Browse through 300+ calligraphy fonts
  3. 3.Filter by language: Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, English
  4. 4.Click on any font to apply it

Step 4: Use Quick Calligraphy

This is where the magic happens:

  1. 1.Select your text box
  2. 2.Click the Quick Calligraphy button
  3. 3.Watch as the text transforms with random letter variables!
  4. 4.Click again and again for new variations
  5. 5.Stop when you find the perfect design

Step 5: Customize (Optional)

Fine-tune your design:

  • Use Magnetic Selection to select individual letters
  • Change specific Letter Variables from the bottom panel
  • Add Alom Wilom swooshes to start/end letters
  • Apply Aa ki Matra variations for decorative matras

Step 6: Add Effects

Make it pop:

  • Apply Drop Shadow for depth
  • Use Warp Tool for curved text
  • Try Effects Presets for one-click styling

Step 7: Export

Save your creation:

  • PNG - Transparent background for graphics
  • JPG - Photos and social media
  • SVG - Vector for scaling
  • Copy to CorelDraw/Illustrator - Direct integration

Congratulations! You've created your first calligraphy!
