How to Download IndiaFont: Complete Installation Guide

Downloading IndiaFont V6 is quick and easy on both Windows and Mac. This guide walks you through the complete process from download to your first sign-in.

Note: There is one universal Mac DMG that runs on both Apple chip and Intel Macs.
Designing works offline. Connect to the internet at least once every two weeks so the app can check your account.
Download IndiaFont V6
- Visit IndiaFont.com/download
- Click Download for Windows or Download for Mac based on your system
- Wait for the installer to finish downloading
Every download starts on the Free plan: ₹0, no card and no time limit. The Free plan includes:
- 27 AMS calligraphy fonts
- Calligraphy AI, 10 a day
- JPG export with a watermark, 5 a day
- Designs up to 800 × 600 px
- The Free items of the templates, text art and art library

Windows Installation
Step 1: Run the Installer
- Find the downloaded file (usually in your Downloads folder)
- Double-click the installer
- If Windows SmartScreen shows a warning, click More info → Run anyway
Step 2: Follow the Installer
- Choose where to install (the default is recommended)
- Click Install and wait for it to finish
- Click Finish to open IndiaFont V6
IndiaFont V6 installs for your Windows user, so you do not need to run it as administrator.
Step 3: Sign In
- Open IndiaFont V6 (desktop or Start menu icon)
- Sign in with Google or your IndiaFont email, or create a free account
- Existing IndiaFont customers keep their account — just sign in with it
On Windows, IndiaFont V6 updates itself automatically.
Mac Installation
Step 1: Open the DMG File
Double-click the downloaded .dmg file to open it.
Step 2: Drag to Applications
Drag the IndiaFont V6 icon to the Applications folder.
Step 3: First Open (Security Warning)
The Mac build is not Apple-signed yet, so the first time you open IndiaFont V6, macOS shows a warning that it cannot be verified. This is a one-time step.
To resolve:
- Try to open IndiaFont V6 from Applications once, then close the warning
- Click the Apple menu → System Settings
- Go to Privacy & Security
- Scroll down and click Open Anyway next to the IndiaFont V6 message
- Click Open to confirm and enter your Mac password if prompted

Step 4: Sign In
- Open IndiaFont V6 from Applications
- Sign in with Google or your IndiaFont email, or create a free account
On Mac, the app shows you a download link when a new version is ready.
Troubleshooting
Windows Issues
Download Not Starting?
- Check your internet connection
- Try a different browser
- Make sure your antivirus is not blocking the download
Installation Blocked?
- On the SmartScreen warning, click More info → Run anyway
- Check Windows Defender settings
- Make sure you have at least 1 GB free disk space
Software Not Opening?
- Restart your computer
- Download the newest installer from /download and run it again
Mac Issues
"App Cannot Be Verified" Error?
- Follow the Privacy & Security steps above, or the Mac guide
- You only need to do this the first time
App Won't Open?
- Make sure you dragged it to the Applications folder
- Check that your Mac runs macOS 13 Ventura or newer
- Try restarting your Mac
After Installation
Once installed, you can:
- Browse the AMS calligraphy fonts (27 on Free, all 342 on Pro)
- Create your first design in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, or English in the built-in design editor
- Use Letter Variables for unique styling
- Export in JPG, PNG, SVG, PDF and more (Free: JPG with watermark)
- Install the IndiaFont panel for CorelDRAW 2018+ and Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects from My account › Plugins
